The latest JAMB news states that the BOARD did not reschedule its examinations, this is prior to the rumors going on around the web. From Twitter, Whatsapp, Facebook, and other social and instant messaging apps.

Joint Admission and Matriculation Board announced on its Twitter handle that all examinations would end on Saturday, 21 March 2020 and advises students in Bayelsa and Rivers States to re-print its exam slip.

“This is to bring to the notice of the public that the Board has not rescheduled its examinations as being rumored around. All examinations would end on Saturday, 21 March 2020 with the few candidates in Bayelsa and Rivers States only who were earlier scheduled to sit the examinations next week.

The Board hereby advises candidates in the two states to reprint their JAMB slips to note the venue and time of their adjusted examination schedules.”

This means that, if you are living in Rivers State and Bayelsa State, and you have registered for JAMB examinations 2020, you are advised to quickly reprint your JAMB slip to know your new date.

Students are also complaining that JAMB scheduled their examination to distant centers, they came very late and that results in the cancellation of their examination by the Invigilators at the centers.

Anyways, JAMB did report that the students were sent to faraway distant to curb parents from participating in exam Malpractice. JAMB has not responded if these students or candidates will re-write their examination.

“JAMB has not canceled the results of its examination conducted on Saturday, March 14, Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Therefore, candidates should disregard rumors making the rounds that the results have been canceled.”

“To check their results, candidates are to send ‘RESULT’ to 55019 and not on the Board’s website.”

On other news JAMB also confirmed that students don’t have to thumbprint after the examination anymore, as it is no longer needed, after the first thumbprint.

“The checking out of Candidates at the end of examinations is no longer necessary. Candidates will only be authenticated through the biometric verification before being allowed into the examination halls and not after the examination.”

“All candidates are by this notice expected to leave their centers immediately after the examination.”

Meanwhile, the candidate who wrote their examinations from Monday, 16th to Wednesday, 18th are still yet to check their JAMB results. Since the portal has been closed by JAMB, students are advised to send ‘RESULT‘ to 55019.
