Official 2019 JAMB cut-off mark for University, Polytechnics and College of Education

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has officially announced the Cut-off Mark for the 2019/2020 session into Universities, Polytechnics and Collage of Education.

We are happy that after few weeks of checking JAMB results via SMS and then via JAMB online portal. The JAMB board and its boss has made the cut-off mark known to all.

Well, the reason behind JAMB reducing the cut-off mark is yet unknown. Maybe, it was due to the fact that there was a massive failure.

However, this has spark the internet, especially micro-blog and social media, Twitter. Where a bunch of students and candidates has raised concern and reacted considerably.

JAMB Cut-off Mark for Universities

The JAMB Cut-off Mark 2019/2020 for all Federal Universities is 160. Even the JAMB official cut-off marks for Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education are also released.

Aside from the Federal or Public University admission, the official JAMB cut-off mark for Private University is 140. This is the approved minimum UTME score for admission into Private universities.

Note that the official JAMB cut-off marks were announced today, after the meeting held at Bola Babalakin Auditorium, Gbongan, Osun State, on Tuesday also.


JAMB Cut-off Mark for Polytechnics

Meanwhile, the JAMB Cut-off Mark for Public polytechnic has been set to 120. Which should be the approved minimum UTME score for gaining admission into all public polytechnics in the State.

Understand that the cut-off mark for Public polytechnic, which is 120 UTME score, is also applicable to Colleges of Education and all other certificate awarding institutions.

During the meeting which was held on Tuesday, the JAMB directors and boss also announced the official JAMB cut-off marks for Private Polytechnics, which is approved 110 UTME score.

2019 JAMB Admission Process

Within the closure time, and period. The JAMB’s Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, spilled some important data and statistics that has to do with the 2019 UTME.

Firstly, he stated that 1, 886, 509 (One Million, eight hundred and eighty six, five hundred and nine) sat for JAMB and over 95 per cent applied to universities, and only 1 per cent applied to Colleges of Education.

Concerning the admission processor, he said that the first choice admission process would take place between August 21 and November 16, 2019 for public universities, and 17th November and 17th December 2019 would be for the second choice admission process.
