iQOO Z5 is the company’s latest Smartphone in China and it comes with premium features – a 120Hz refresh rate display panel, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor and comes in three major memory configurations.
The iQOO Z5 arrives with a 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD screen with support for 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10 certified, DC dimming, up to 650 nits brightness, and 91.36% screen-to-body ratio.
It comes with TUV Rheinland low blue light certification, and also features an impressive gradient finish in a model that has stripes. It is available in Dark Blue, Gradient Blue, and White color options. There is Z-axis linear vibration motor and 4D vibration,
Around the back panel is a vertically triple rear camera setup – a primary 64-megapixels f/1.79 Samsung GW3 sensor with LED flash, 8-megapixels f/2.2 119° ultra-wide, and 2-megapixels f/2.4 macro lens. While the punch-hole houses a 16-megapixels selfie camera.
With Snapdragon 778G 6nm Mobile Platform running through its veins, the Kryo 670 CPUs clocks at 2.4GHz and 1.8GHz coupled with Adreno 642L GPU. The iQOO Z5 boots Android 11 with Origin OS 1.0, however, international units are expected to come with Funtouch OS 12.
The iQOO Z5 is available in 8GB LPDDR5 RAM in two storage configurations – 128GB / 256GB (UFS 3.1) storage and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB (UFS 3.1) storage. There is no option for expandable microSD. It supports Dual SIM mode.
It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, Stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio and the connectivity includes 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 is supported. There is GPS / GLONASS / QZSS / Galileo constellations are used for positioning.
While most of the features such as the camera are identical to the Z3, the iQOO Z5 now comes with a large 5000mAh battery capacity with 44W fast charging support through USB Type-C. Where the iQOO Z3 comes with 4400mAh at a higher 55W charging speed.
iQOO Z5 sports a 28837mm² VC cooling area that can bring down the phone’s core temperature by up to 12°C.

The iQOO Z5’s 8GB RAM / 128GB version costs 1,899 yuan ($293 / NGN120,569 Nigerian Naira approx.) and the 256GB costs 2,099 yuan ($324 / NGN133,326 Nigerian Naira). The 12GB RAM / 256GB storage costs 2,299 yuan ($355 / NGN146,090 Nigerian Naira approx.).
While the pre-orders in China are open, the official sales will commence on September 28. However, the international availability will be detailed later, and the company promised that the iQOO Z5 will be official in India on September 27.
