iQOO launches its latest affordable 5G Smartphone in China, this is the iQOO Z3 5G with a 120Hz refresh rate display, a 16-megapixel front camera sensor and it is powered by Snapdragon 768G SoC.
Where the f/2.0 16MP stays inside the waterdrop notch, the rear panel comes with a triple camera setup, a primary f/1.79 64-megapixels, Samsung ISOCELL GW3 sensor with support for LED flash, EIS and it can record 4K video.
It is supported by an f/2.2 8-megapixels 120° ultra-wide camera and 2-megapixels macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. It comes with support for 5G SA/NSA, Dual SIM, nano + nano, 3.5mm audio jack, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS/GLONASS.
Although for a wireless option, the aptX HD and LDAC are supported, either with a “4D” haptic feedback system that should provide a more immersive experience.
The iQOO Z3 5G packs a 6.58-inch FHD+ 20:9 aspect ratio LCD waterdrop screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10 certified and boasts of 90.61% screen-to-body ratio.
The phone comes with biometric sensor support – side-mounted fingerprint sensor / Face Unlock. It is 8.50mm thick, weighs 185.5g, supports 4D game vibration, and comes in Deep Black, Nebula, and Cloud Blue color options.
With the Snapdragon 768G 7nm EUV chipset running the device, the Qualcomm chipset enables 5G connectivity, which is lower latency than 4G. It still comes with a heat pipe that leads to a graphite heat sink that then transfers the heat into the air that reduces the temperature by 10ºC.
The five layers of the liquid-cooled heat dissipation system reduce the temperature by 10 degrees, and Vivo also mentioned that it uses a “horizontal full-scene antenna”, the same as the iQOO 7, so 5G upload signal strength is increased by 25%.
It comes with Adreno 620 GPU, available in either 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.2) storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, supporting memory expansion up to 1TB. The device also runs on Android 11 OS with iQOO UI 1.0 out of the box.
In order to keep it at bay, the Z3 5G arrives with a 4400mAh battery with 55W fast charging through USB Type-C, where 15% to 60% can take only 15 minutes,, and inside the box is the adapter.
With gaming design, iQOO placed the antennas so that they work well in a landscape while you hold the phone with both hands. The iQOO Z3 5G 6GB + 128GB costs 1699 yuan ($259), 8GB + 128GB costs 1799 yuan ($275) and 8GB + 256GB option goes for 1999 yuan ($305). It will be available for purchase on the 1st of April, and already up for order.
