Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO, previously revealed that they are working on a phone based on the Dimensity 1000+ SoC. It is now official as iQOO Z1 with 144Hz screen, 48MP triple camera, and 4500mAh battery.
The Vivo’s iQOO ZI was unveiled as the first smartphone to have MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ processor out of the box. Recall that VIVO announced the iQOO brand as its gamer-centric line.
It is quite obvious that the iQOO Neo3 5G phone is powered by the Snapdragon 865 chip, but the iQOO Z1 isn’t entirely a new smartphone, as it is identical to the iQOO Neo3 5G.

Everything is practically the same with the iQOO Neo3 5G, aside from the processor, which is the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus chipset with Mali-G77 GPU.
The MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000 Plus platform is a new SoC that features support for dual-mode SA/NSA 5G, WiFi 6, and a 144Hz high refresh rate FHD+ display.
You can find the phone in three variants, there is the 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and the 8GB + 256GB storage variant. It arrives with a Multi-Turbo 3.5 which includes performance, and liquid cooling heat dissipation, which reduces the temperature of the smartphone by 10-12 degrees Celsius.
At the front is a 6.57″ 20:9 LCD of 2408×1080 pixel resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and HDR10 support. It also comes with a punch hole in the top-right corner for the 16-megapixels selfie camera.
While the back panel hosts a triple camera lens, the main 48-megapixels, 8-megapixels wide-angle lens, and 2-megapixels as the macro lens. It supports a side-mounted fingerprint sensor scanner.
Fortunately, it still carries the 3.5mm audio jack, along with other connectivity features: 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS, and USB Type-C.
The iQOO Z1 is available in Galaxy Silver and Space Blue colors. The company also mentioned a special edition called One Piece which features the One Piece skull and logo on its back.
The smartphone boots Android 10 with iQOO UI on top, and fueled by a 4500mAh battery with 44W SuperFlash charge support, which charges the battery from flat to 50% in 23 minutes and takes another 36 minutes to reach 100% charge.
Price of Vivo’s iQOO Z1
Like the Neo3 5G, the new iQOO Z arrives with the same identical curved edges on the back and a rectangular camera module. The 6GB/128GB costs CNY 2198 ($309), 8GB/128GB goes for CNY 2498 ($351) and the top-end 8GB/256GB is priced at CNY 2798 ($394).
You can pre-order the phone right now on Vivo’s official China site, and other eCommerce platforms starting from May 25th. It will start selling in China from June 1st.
During the launch, iQOO also introduced Z1 accessories such as the $6 3D texturized covers, a $22 Bluetooth controller with a joystick, and a $38 neckband wireless earphones.
