Awesome, there are Legendary versions! The iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro are the company’s latest flagship Smartphones, and it is safe to say that these mobile handsets are actually the best out there featuring the latest specifications and features.
The premium phones, iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro are completely powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus 5nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 660 GPU and comes in 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. These use LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Both phones run Android 11 OS with the company’s OriginOS on top and come with Dual SIM support. Thanks to the chipset, it comes with aggressive 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/GLONASS, and support for NFC.
The iQOO 8 comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, while the Pro with Qualcomm’s ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint solution, which has a larger recognition area, lets you unlock with wet hands, and can simultaneously recognize with fingers.
It ditches the standard 3.5mm audio jack for USB Type-C audio and comes with stereo speakers and Hi-Fi audio. In addition to the mobile phones differences, the iQOO 8 comes with a smaller battery compared to the iQOO 8 Pro.
Where the iQOO 8 offers 4350mAh battery with 120W ultra-fast flash charging, which charges the device from 0 – 100% in just 18 minutes, while the iQOO 8 Pro comes with 4500mAh battery, 120W ultra-fast flash charging, support for 50W wireless flash charging, and 10W wireless reverse charging.
Similar to the Oppo Find X3 Pro and OnePlus Nord 2 5G, the iQOO 8 Pro arrives with a f/1.75 50-megapixels Sony IMX766V sensor with 23mm equivalent 7P freeform lens and 5-axis gimbal gimbal stabilization, and this is the first for the iQOO series.
Other camera lens includes the main f/2.2 48-megapixels 114° ultra-wide sensor with Sony IMX598 sensor, 16-megapixels portrait camera with f/2.23 aperture, and 2.5x optical zoom. The camera settings are unattractive on the standard / vanilla iQOO 8.
Featuring a primary Sony IMX598 48-megapixels sensor with f/1.79 lens, LED flash support, dual 13-megapixels sensor as 120° ultra-wide sensor and portrait camera with support for 2x optical zoom, and up to 20x digital zoom. These comes with 16-megapixels selfie lens.
There is the standard and BMW Legendary version of the iQOO 8, which are thick at and weighs 8.72mm thick / 209.5g and 8.63mm thick / 199.9g respectively. And comes in standard white, Black striped and Legendary Edition with BMW stripes, all with AG glass finish.
As expected also, the iQOO 8 Pro comes in BMW Legendary and Track edition models also, both are 9.19mm thick, and weighs 203.9g / 202.5g respectively. It comes in Track striped Black color and Legendary BMW edition with a leather finish.
The iQOO 8 Pro display is quite impressive and unique than the standard model, offering a 6.78-inch 1440 pixels, Samsung E5 LTPO OLED 20:9 display panel with HDR10+ certified, 1.07 billion colors, Dolby Vision, DCI-P3 color gamut, and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
It comes with 10-bit colors, which was scored A+ by DisplayMate. While the iQOO 8 offers a slightly smaller 6.56-inch 1080 pixels Full HD+ AMOLED 19.8:9 aspect ratio screen with the same faster 120Hz refresh rate. While other specs and features remains the same.
iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro Pricing
The iQOO 8 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model costs 3799 yuan ($585 / NGN240,961 Nigerian Naira approx.) and the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage goes for 4199 yuan ($647 / NGN266,499 Nigerian Naira approx.). iQOO is offering 100 yuan discount in the first sale.
While the iQOO 8 Pro 8GB RAM with 256GB storage configuration costs 4999 yuan ($770 / NGN317,160 Nigerian Naira approx.), and the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage form costs 5499 yuan ($847 / NGN348,880 Nigerian Naira approx.).
And the iQOO 8 Pro 12GB RAM with 512GB storage version costs 5999 yuan ($925 / NGN381,000 Nigerian Naira approx.). In a week, these phones will be on sale in China, iQOO 8 from August 24th and iQOO 8 Pro on from August 26th.
