iQOO 7 introduced at an event in China with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 in Blackland, Latent blue, and Legendary Edition in White color options. However, it is the company’s latest flagship 5G smartphone.
For pricing, the iQOO 7 base model, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage costs 3798 yuan ($586 US) and the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version goes for 4198 yuan ($647 US). The company mentioned that the device is now available for order and will go on sale in China starting from January 15th.
Vivo’s gaming-oriented sub-brand, iQOO introduces its newest Smartphone with several gaming enhancements, and it runs on the company’s all-new Origin OS based on Android 11, which is the successor of Vivo’s FunTouch OS.
The iQOO 7 packs a 6.62-inch FHD+ 1080px AMOLED screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio screen with an HDR10+ panel. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 4096 levels of brightness adjustment, and up to 1300 nits brightness.
It comes with a 300Hz touch sampling rate, tho, the company is advertising up to 1000Hz instant touch sampling rate for buttery-smooth gaming. It boasts of 91.4% screen to body ratio, measures 162.2 x 75.8 x 8.7mm, and weighs 209.5g.
The display is also pressure sensitive with a left and right area in landscape mode allowing for more precise controls in supported titles. Inside the display is the fingerprint sensor scanner.
There is a centered punch-hole cutout for the 16-megapixels selfie camera, while the back panel holds a triple camera setup with a 48-megapixels shooter with OIS + EIS and Super Video image stabilization with HDR.
It is supported by a 13-megapixels ultrawide module with a 120-degree field of view and a 50mm equivalent 13-megapixels telephoto sensor. The camera comes with a 2x optical zoom, and 20x digital zoom.
iQOO 7 is also offering dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio developed in partnership with Monster Audio. It also comes with USB Type-C audio, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and GLONASS.
Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 888 chipset, it is a 5nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 660 GPU. The processor definitely brings special performance tuning options for game performance.
It arrives with Multi-Turbo 5.0 storage architecture and can be found in either 8GB RAM with 128GB storage or 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. It uses LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 for storage. It comes with Dual SIM support, nano + nano.
The new device packs a 4000mAh battery with 120W charging speeds through USB Type-C, and it is compatible with the 65W PD protocol. iQOO promises that the flash charging tech will allow the device to reach a full charge in 15 minutes flat.
