During an event in India, Vivo’s gaming Smartphone branch, iQOO launched its own lineup – iQOO 7 5G and iQOO 7 Legend 5G with a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz display, and powering both devices are Snapdragon 870 / Snapdragon 888 chipset.
While the both phones are quite identical to each other, the global iQOO 7 resembles the iQOO Neo5, while the Chinese iQOO 7 will be known as iQOO 7 Legend international. Lets checkout the new iQOO 7 Legend India version,
iQOO 7 Legend
It comes with a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 91.4% screen to body ratio, 20:9 aspect ratio screen, and support for 120Hz refresh rate with 300Hz touch sampling rate. It is HDR10+ certified with a 105% NTSC color gamut.
The device arrives with up to 1300 nits brightness and 4096 levels of brightness adjustment and features a punch-hole screen that houses a 16-megapixels front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.iQOO 7 Legend Smartphone
Around the back is the triple rear camera setup, offering a 48-megapixels main camera with OIS support, 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 13-megapixel 50mm (2x) equivalent telephoto camera for portrait shots.
The iQOO 7 Legend sports a BMW M Motorsport’s global partnership, which incorporates three stripes on a matte back with AG glass that offers 3D visual effects and marine aluminum finish. It is available in the White color option.
Powering the device is the Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 660 GPU, and available in either 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB (UFS 3.1) storage and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB storage.
The iQOO 7 Legend comes with VC cooling that has a Vapor Chamber that dissipates heat from an area of up to 4096 mm² and the heat dynamic pump reduces the surface temperature by up to 4° and CPU temperature by up to 14° C.
It runs on Android 11 OS with Funtouch OS 11.1, support for Dual SIM, in-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C audio, Stereo speakers, Hi-Fi audio, 8.7mm thick, weighs 209.5g, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS.
iQOO 7 Legend packs support for a 66W fast charging the can charge the phone’s 4000mAh battery from 0 to 100% in 22 minutes. The iQOO 7 Legend 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version goes for Rs. 39,990 ($537) countering China’s $586 price.
While the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version costs Rs. 43,990 ($590), and again, cheaper than China’s $647 pricing. It will be available for pre-order from Amazon.in and iQOO.com from May 1st.
iQOO 7 5G
iQOO also unveiled the mid-range iQOO 7 5G during the launch, offering a similar 6.62” AMOLED Full HD+ 20:9 display with 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1000Hz instant touch sampling rate, with 5.8ms touch response.
It also comes with a 105% NTSC color gamut and the company claims it can reach a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The fingerprint scanner is built right inside the display, glass back panel, 8.43mm thick and weighs 196g.
There is a built-in intelligent display chip for MEMC, DC dimming and boasts of 91.45% screen-to-body ratio. The top camera cutout houses a single 16-megapixels front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
While the back holds a triple-rear camera setup, offering a primary f/1.79 48-megapixels camera with IMX598 sensor, OIS, secondary 13-megapixels 120° ultra-wide sensor with 2.5cm macro shot, and 2-megapixels mono sensor.
The iQOO 7 5G is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 7nm Mobile Platform with up to 3.2GHz Octa-Core processor, Adreno 650 GPU and comes in three memory configurations – 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB / 256GB (UFS 3.1) storage.
And 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB (UFS 3.1) storage, runs on Android 11 OS with Funtouch OS 11.1P on top. It still comes with a gaming feature, a liquid cooling system, and a 6000mm² graphite board that reduces the temperature by up to 11%.
The phone also arrives with 4D Game Vibration 3.0, linear vibration motor, and packs a 4,400mAh battery that supports up to 66W wired fast charging, identical to the Legend option, that can charge the phone up to 100% in half an hour.
It also supports 45W USB-PD charging. The iQOO 7 5G comes in Solid Ice Blue and Storm Black color options and the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage goes for Rs. 31,990 ($430) and the 8GB RAM with 256GB option costs Rs. 33,990 ($456).
While the top-end variant – 12GB RAM with 256GB storage goes for Rs. 35,990 ($483) and it will be available for pre-order starting from 1st of May through Amazon. in and iQOO.com.
