iPhone SE (2022) launched with A15 Bionic and iPhone 13/13 Pro series comes in new colors

The long-awaited event took off today, termed “peek performance” and the Cupertino tech giant, Apple officially announces a wide range of products, and noticeably among the new product is the new iPhone SE (2022) with 4.7-inch HD Retina Display, powered by A15 Bionic chip.

During the event, Apple also unveiled other products such as iPad Air (5th Gen), including M1 Ultra – the company’s most powerful ARM-based custom processor and new colors for its iPhone 13/13 Pro series.

When compared to the previous generation, especially the 2nd-generation iPhone SE (2020), the new iPhone SE (2022), which is the third-generation iPhone SE brings similar specifications, including some discernible features such as the Touch ID fingerprint sensor below the display.

iPhone SE (2022) comes in Midnight, Starlight, and (PRODUCT) RED colors. Apple went ahead to make the new iPhone SE IP67 rated, for water and dust resistance. It is 7.3mm thick, weighs 144g, and has built-in stereo speakers. It is available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage option.

The third-generation iPhone SE is powered by the same chipset as on the iPhone 13 series and the fastest smartphone chip, the Apple A15 Bionic chipset, which is bigger and better than the A13 Bionic chips on the predecessor.

For the optics, the iPhone SE (2022) isn’t different, it features a single 12-megapixels f/1.8 wide-angle sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), True Tone flash, and records 4K video recording at 60fps, with Slo‑mo 1080p at 240 fps.

It comes with the iPhone 13 series’s sensor-shift image stabilization, Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, and Deep Fusion. While the front display hosts the 7-megapixels f/2.2 sensor and supports 1080p video recording.

The iPhone SE (2022) comes with 5G support, (sub‑6 GHz), Gigabit-class LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC with reader mode, and GPS with GLONASS. It comes with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with up to 15 hours of video playback.

The new iPhone SE will be available to order in more than 30 countries and regions, including India from Friday, March 11th, and will roll out starting from March 18. The starting price for the iPhone SE (2022) is $429 for the 64GB model and more for other options.

Alongside the new generation of iPhone SE, the company also announced the iPhone 13 series in green and the iPhone 13 Pro series in alpine green color variants, these new colors of the iPhone will be joining the former colors of the iPhone 13, and iPhone 13 Pro series.

The company said that the new green iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini-feature an elegant color-matched aluminum frame and precision-milled back glass. Apple said that the new green colors are available for pre-order starting March 11, and then March 18 for shipment.

Apple went ahead to say that the new alpine green iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max is created using multiple layers of nanometer-scale metallic ceramics applied across the surface, which is perfectly complemented by the surgical-grade stainless steel band and textured matte back glass.

With the new colors coming in, the colors announced during the launch are still available, iPhone 13 series in Pink, Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and (PRODUCT) RED, and the iPhone 13 Pro series in Graphite, Gold, Silver, and Sierra Blue colors.
