Introducing Infinix’s first 5G smartphone – Infinix Zero 5G with 48MP and Dimensity 900 chipset

With MediaTek running through its veins, Infinix officially unveils its first 5G smartphone – Infinix Zero 5G with support for NR networks, 13 5G bands, featuring a sleeky OPPO Find X3 Pro’s uni-curve design, similar to the elevated camera island sits under the same piece of plastic as the rest of the back panel.

It comes with a 6.78-inch LCD display, FHD+ thanks to 1080 pixels screen resolution, and support for a 120Hz display, which brings a smooth scrolling display, offers 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 500 nits.

The Infinix Zero 5G comes in three distinct colors – Cosmic Black, Horizon Blue, and Skylight Orange options. These colors bring out the beauty of the Smartphone, with respect to your outfit. It is 8.77mm slim, weighs 199g, and features a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Zero 5G brings support for a triple camera shooter, starting with the primary 48-megapixels sensor, 13-megapixels 2x telephoto lens, with up to 30X hybrid zoom, equivalent to a 50mm professional portrait lens, and 2-megapixels bokeh sensor units.

At the top center of the Smartphone, there is a notch that hosts a single 16-megapixels sensor with support for dual-LED flash. It comes with other camera features such as AI night selfie, Pro night style, and can shoot slow motion at 960fps.

Infinix Zero 5G is powered by a 6nm processor, MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset with 2x 2.4GHz Cortex-A78, and 6x 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs, which “delivers superefficient performance and also conducive to maintaining great battery life” Infinix says.

It is coupled with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU for better graphic performance, and it is available in a single 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB (UFS 3.1) internal storage, where you can expand either the RAM up to 11GB with 3GB Extended RAM and memory up to 256GB with microSD.

Infinix says that expanding your 8GB RAM memory to 11GB by integrating RAM and ROM, will greatly improve the speed and performance of your device across various usage scenarios. The new handset runs Android 11 with XOS 10 out of the box.

Similar to the high-end phones, the Zero 5G brings WiFi6 support, Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and the 5G SA/ NSA support include the following bands: n1/n3/n5/n7/n8/n20/n28/n38/n40/n41/n77/n78/n79.

The Infinix Zero 5G is fueled by a 5000mAh battery capacity with 33W fast charging through a USB Type-C connector. It comes with a volume up/down button, and a power button, that doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

The new handset comes with a Heat Pipe Thermal Module 2.0 & 3-D Cooling Master, which “systematically monitors the temperature of your device so you can immerse yourself in the game without worrying about overheating” Infinix added.

Infinix Zero 5G Pricing

The Infinix Zero 5G is priced at $250 (N104,260 Nigerian Naira approx.). However, this is the general pricing for the Smartphone in all markets, as the company said the pricing will be revealed later on in each market.
