Following the rhythm of the series, Infinix officially introduces its latest handset in its Smart series – Infinix Smart 5A in Ocean Wave, Quetzal Cyan, and Midnight Black colors options. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio A20 processor.
Infinix introduced the global and Indian versions of Smart 5, and probably, the company might do the same with its new Smart 5A. However, the differences between these phones are noticeable, starting from the display, chipset, battery, camera, and even the OS.
The Smart 5A is available in a single 2GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and comes with support for expandable up to 256GB with microSD. Allowing you to easily store more files and data.
It is powered by a 1.8GHz Quad-Core MediaTek Helio A20 processor and runs with Android 11 (Go Edition) on top of the company’s XOS 7.6 skin, where the Smart 5 runs Android 10 (Go Edition) with XOS 6 on top.
On the front is a smaller 6.52-inch 720 pixels compared to the Smart 5’s 6.6-inch but still sports HD+ 20:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass display with 500 nits brightness, and 1200:1 contrast ratio.
It features an 8-megapixels rear camera with an f/2.0 lens and a depth sensor for portrait shots. These support a triple LED Flash and there is an 8-megapixels front-facing camera with an f/2.0 lens and dual-LED flash.
The Smart 5A arrives with a prism flow pattern on the back panel, featuring a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 8.75mm thick, weighs 183g and the connectivity includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS.
Infinix Smart 5A Pricing
It comes with a 5000mAh battery, which is smaller than the 6000mAh battery on the Smart 5 and draws its power from the traditional MicroUSB port. The Infinix Smart 5A costs Rs. 6,499 in India, which is around NGN36,000 in Nigeria.
However, Infinix did not mention if the handset will be coming to Nigeria, but as with other Smart series, it will find its way, and probably, the price might be affordable. It will be available from Flipkart starting from August 9th.
