The Shenzhen-based maker, Infinix launches its latest Smartphone in its Smart series, it is the Infinix Smart 5 mobile handset with a 13-megapixel rear camera and it is powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 SoC with 2GB of RAM.
Around August last year, Infinix announced the Smart 5 global version, but this is the Indian version of the Smart 5. It is also the official successor of last year’s Smart 4 in India, which is more like a rebranded Hot 10 Play.
The Indian Infinix Smart 5 version comes with a 6.82-inch HD+ 20.5:9 aspect ratio display, 720 pixels screen resolution, and features a 2.5D curved glass display with 440 nits brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio.
It boasts a 90.6% screen body ratio, offering slim bezels around the display, and comes in Aegean Blue, Morandi Green, Obsidian Black, and 7° Purple colors options.
It measures 171.82 x77.96 x 8.9 mm, weighs 207g, features a rear-mounted Fingerprint sensor, and supports Dual SIM for nano + nano + microSD. The back panel features a gem-cut textured design and FLOW reflective pattern.
The screen display holds a waterdrop notch that hosts a single 8-megapixels selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and supports LED flash. The front camera features selfie specs that can take clean and clearer shots with beautification.
Around the back is a camera panel that houses a 13-megapixels primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture, and supported by a secondary Low Light sensor. Others inside the panel are Quad-LED Flash and AI logo. It can shoot Slow-mo Video.
Infinix Smart 5 is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G25 processor, which is different from the global Smart 5. It comes with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and runs on Android 10 Go Edition OS with the company’s skin XOS 7 out of the box.
It is only available in a single 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, and you can easily expand the memory up to 256GB via a dedicated MicroSD card slot. It supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS connectivity.
The Infinix Smart 5 packs a large 6000mAh battery capacity with 10W charging through a MicroUSB port. It is priced at Rs. 8,999 ($123), but with the 20% discount, you can purchase it at Rs. 7,199 ($98). It will be available for order starting from the 18th of February 2021.
