Chinese Smartphone makers, Infinix Mobility launches its latest handset in its Note series lineup, it is the Infinix Note 8 with a 6.95-inch display alongside an affordable version, the Infinix Note 8i with a 6.78-inch screen display.
The Infinix Note 8 slightly differs from Note 8i, where the differences and similarities between both phones fall into the display category, processor, cameras, battery, and even memory.
Around May this year, Infinix introduced the Note 7 and Note 7 Lite, and six months later, the company is here with the successor. This is the Infinix Note 8 series, and both phones are powered by MediaTek Helio G80 chipset.
The Octa-Core 12nm processor is mainly incorporated for mobile gaming, with a powerful Arm Cortex-A75 CPUs operating up to 2GHz, plus single six Cortex-A55 processors, it is expected to provide smoother performance in heavy-loading game engines.
Where the Note 8 is available in a single 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, and the Note 8i in 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 4GB / 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, all the storage are expandable up to 2TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Both phones sports an LCD HD+ 20.5:9 Infinity-O display with 480 nits brightness, but the Note 8 carries a bigger 6.95-inch screen size, while the Note 8i with 6.78-inch screen size but with the same 720p screen resolution.
These new handsets come with applaudable slim bezels, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers with DTS audio processing, and offers a gradient 3D gem cut design with a refined diamond-shaped back design.
Infinix Note 8 series arrives with a Dual SIM mode, offering nano + nano + microSD, runs on XOS 7.1 based on Android 10 OS, 3.5mm audio jack, Stereo speakers, FM Radio, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, and GPS.
There is a dual hole-punch on Note 8 that brings two camera sensors, the primary 16-megapixels front-facing camera with Portrait Lens for depth sensor. Where the Note 8i loses one of the cameras, offering a downgraded 8-megapixels camera with dual-LED flash.
Around the back of the phone is a QUAD-camera setup, the Note 8 carries a 64-megapixels as its main camera, while the Note 8i with 48-megapixels, both sports the same triple 2-megapixels lens as a macro lens, depth sensor, and AI Lens.
The Note 8 dimension is 175.3 x 78.76 x 8.95mm, where the Note 8i comes with 171.4 x 77.7 x 8.9mm dimension. The Infinix Note 8i comes in Obsidian Black, Tranquil Blue, and Ice Diamond colors options, while the Note 8 comes in Deepsea Luster, Silver Diamond, and Iceland Fantasy colors options.
Both devices are fueled by a 5200mAh battery capacity with power marathon tech embedded and come with support for the 18W dual-engine supercharge through USB Type-C. The pricing is yet to be revealed, but rumors to begin at $200.
