Infinix Hot 6X with a notch display is a daring and sumptuous sequel!

Infinix Hot 6X has been unveiled by the Chinese company, Infinix mobility and it is their 2018 latest Smartphone to come with a notch display.

Unfortunately, it is not the company first mobile device to feature that notched display up front.

The new Infinix Hot 6X arrives with some standard specifications and features, and the display is realistic and spectacular.

Notch display has been trending since the first Essential phone but started its official journey from the lucid and vibrant iPhone X.

Right now, they are bunch of Android Smartphones with notch display from major Chinese Smartphone company. Meanwhile, Samsung mobile has not adopted the trending display, but looking forward to introducing a very rare notch display for their upcoming Galaxy phones.

Design and Display

The Infinix Hot 6X is the latest to be added in the company’s Hot series, and it features a 6.2-inch LCD IPS capacitive touchscreen, 720 X 1500 pixels, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 500 nits brightness with a 2.5D curved glass.

And there is the trending and updated 19:9 aspect ratio, which brings in a slimmer and thinner bezels at the top and sides.

Anyways, the phone also comes with a bottom chin, and there is the speaker, USB 3.0 and 3.5mm audio under the display.

Infinix Hot 6X features a dignified and long-lasting Polycarbonate plastic material, which will provide a stable and comfortable grip.

Hot 6X also delivers a premium look, and a deluxe design. Like the Hot 6 and Hot 6 Pro series, it comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back, which is under the dual camera setup.

It boasts of 87% screen-to-body ratio. It is available in three daring colors: Midnight Black, Champagne Gold, Kent Blue, and Bordeaux Red.

The phone has been on advertised on social medias with a hashtag, #SeeEverything. It is the second Infinix Smartphone with a notch display, after the Hot S3X Smartphone.

Well, there might be the latest water-drop v-shaped notch display, but the company keeps adopting that of the iPhone X’s.

Chinese company, Infinix mobility unveiled the Hot 6X after announcing the self-claimed most Intelligence Smartphone in the history: Infinix Note 5 Stylus.

However, Infinix also claimed that the Hot 6X is lighter in its 168g and measures 8.5mm in thickness.

Camera and Connectivity

The Infinix Hot 6X Smartphone camera features aren’t much difference from the other latest Infinix Smartphones in the Hot series.

The notch display holds some important components of the Smartphone -selfie camera, receiver and Ambient light sensor.

But there was a little bumped in the selfie snapper, the Hot 6X comes with a 8-megapixels f/2.0 aperture selfie camera.

And it also doubles as a biometric security feature, Face ID. Which uses your Face as a security and password.

It also comes with a AI-enhancements, such as AI-Beauty mode, Portraits mode etc. And there is a soft flashlight, for taking a clearer shots at nights.

But it is smaller than the Hot S3X with 16MP. At the back, there is the dual camera setup, which debuted on Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro.

And it consists of primary 13-megapixels sensor with f/1.8 aperture, for normal shots + a secondary 2-megapixels sensor with f/2.4 aperture for taking in-depth shots. Thankfully, the cameras support Portrait mode, with Bokeh effects.

4G LTE network and connectivity is enabled on the both SIM card. Others includes: 2G, 3G, dual Nano SIM cards, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi, hotspot, USB Type-C, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and more.

Performance and Battery

Once again, we are seeing another Infinix phone with a mid-range 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset, clock at 1.3GHz speed frequency.

Which is similar to the Infinix Hot S3 with Snapdragon 430 SoC processor. It might be of mid-range but it is quite acceptable and compromised to provide an affordable price.

And it is available in two different models, there is the 2GB of RAM + 16GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM + 32GB of internal storage, the both storage is expandable up to 128GB via micro SD card slot.

Which is unlike the Hot S3 and Hot S3X with 64GB storage.

Both the RAM and in-built storage, allows you to easily switch in between apps, runs numerous apps, save important documents and files, such as images, movies / videos, games, applications and many more.

It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Infinix’s XOS Version 3.3 skin on top.

Under the hood, the Hot 6X is powered by a non-removable 4000mAh battery capacity and comes with support for quick charge technology. And the company claims that, the phone can lasts up to 2-days on a single charge.

In this current state of dilemma for power supply, choosing a 4000mAh battery capacity is considerable and acceptable.

Price of Infinix Hot 6x

The Infinix Hot 6X is priced at N40,000 – N50,000 in Nigeria currency and Kes. 16,699, around GHc 640 in Ghanaian cedis. Well, for references purpose, the Infinix Hot S3X is currently priced at N59,200 while the Hot S3 goes for N56,000.

The phone is available for purchase in virtually, all the accredited and official stores both online and offline. It is economically priced, cheap, affordable and will definitely beat others in the game of in-expensiveness and reasonable Smartphone pricing.

Hot 6x comes with Gravity, Proximity and Light Sensors and a fingerprint sensor at the back. And it lacks those premium specs and features, one includes IP68 rating for water and dust resistant etc. But you can still wait for the upcoming Zero 6!
