Looking at the physical appearance, the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, comes with the same design although, there is a slight increase of display size but when at the back design, there is a sweet placement of the camera position, offering you Triple Leica Lens camera instead of the traditional Dual camera, which is also on the P20.

It is notable that, P20 Pro comes with the notch display on top, which houses the Front facing camera, Ambient light sensor and the receiver. Right now, some few Android fanboys are starting to like the P20 Pro despite the Notch display.

Huawei P20 Pro

The P20 Pro arrives with a thin 6.1-inch FullView HD+ OLED panel with notch design display but doesn’t comes with Face ID. The Notch display on the P20 Pro is quite different from other phones with notch display. There is this software option that masks out the top of the screen so that the phone looks like it has a straight-line top bezel.

Quite innovative right? The notch will be masked by default when viewing photos and video anyway which isn’t available on P20. On the ground bezels, you have the physical home button that also houses the fingerprint print sensor too.

The colors on the new P20 Pro are more of gradient show than other Smartphones colors, it differs truly when compared to other phone’s colors. It shift colors when under light. The company pointed out that the gradient colour finish is exclusive to Twilight and Pink Gold.

The handset is IP67 rated, where it features dust and water resistance. As the company said, the resistance changes over time and users are warned not charge a wet phone, as it may result to unforeseen events.

Camera and Connectivity

The Huawei P20 Pro is the first Android Smartphone to arrive with a Triple Leica Lens Camera! Being the first, it is also the best right now! When compared with Google Pixel 2 XL, the P20 Pro shows more clarity without any slight of blurring.

On the back camera, the P20 Pro arrives with a 40 MP RGB + f/1.8 aperture that gives a more higher sharpness, color accuracy, focus and contrast, also called Light Fusion, the 2µm quad-pixel pixels is the first to be seen on any Smartphone sensor combined with a 20 MP Monochrome, f/1.6 aperture and 8 MP optically stabilized telephoto camera + f/2.4 aperture.

This handset camera features 3x optical zoom and also allows you to zoom into any subject with 5X Hybrid Zoom. It also supports autofocus (laser focus, deep focus, phase focus, contrast focus). There is the 4D predictive focus for capturing any objects in a motion.

The company also introduced the AI Image stabilization too. With this, your shots are contrast balanced and blur-free, handheld shots in low-light using Night Mode. And it comes with artificial intelligence stabilization (AIS) which works on the basis of object recognition.

For taking the most mind-blowing Videos, Huawei brings in 960 fps Super Slow Motion; when the video is on-going, it helps you to slow it down and probably, takes the perfect shot too.

On the front facing selfie camera, the P20 Pro features a high 24 MP + f/2.0 aperture, supports fixed focal length and the light fusion too but unfortunately, there is no Face ID.

The Network and Connectivity includes Standard USB Type-C , NFC, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, LTE TDD / LTE FDD / WCDMA / EDGE / GPRS, Single SIM Card and Dual SIM Card supports.

Performance, Battery and Storage

The processor performance is also magnificent too. It is powered by a powerful Octa-core + micro core i7, 4 x Cortex A73 2.36 GHz + 4 x Cortex A53 1.8 GHz coupled with a Kirin 970 processor along with a 6GB of RAM, this tactically takes care of the multitasking, makes apps run more faster in a smooth applauding system.

Unlike the Porsche Mate RS with huge 512 internal memory, the P20 Pro features a 128GB, capable of storing enough data, pictures, images, documents, movies, applications, games too. Although, the in-built (follow-come app) will also take a little space on the phone.

Arrives with the latest version of Huawei’s EMUI, built atop Android 8.1 Oreo, comes preloaded on the company’s new phones. The handset comes with 4000mAh battery capacity and fortunately, there is fast charging technology, the company calls it “SuperCharge”

The P20 Pro will start selling on the 6th of April for €899 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The gradient colors and camera are the new Innovations!
