HUAWEI launches one of its most anticipated mid-range phone series – Huawei nova 9 Pro with a 120Hz OLED display, powered by Snapdragon 778G processor, and sports 100W fast charging. While the Huawei nova 9 comes with 66W fast charging power.
Well, the claim to providing the fastest charging power is undoubtedly the new ideal trend for the Smartphone industry and yes, it’s definitely a better focus. The Xiaomi 11T Pro comes with 120W fast charging tech, boasts 100% charge in just 17 minutes.
However, the Huawei nova 9 Pro packs a 4000mAh battery capacity with 100W SuperCharge fast charging via USB Type-C port. The company claims that the nova 9 Pro can boast a 100% charge in just 20 minutes. There is VC graphene cooling to cool up the phone.
On the other hand, the Huawei nova 9 comes with a bigger 4300mAh battery but supports a smaller 66W SuperCharge fast charging tech, and it also draws its power from the USB Type-C port. Both phones boot Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS 2.
Both come with an FHD+ OLED curved display, offering support for a 120GHz refresh rate with a 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1.07 billion colors, and a DCI-P3 wide color gamut. However, the differences come around the display screen size.
Where the nova 9 comes with a smaller 6.57-inch coupled with 2340×1080 pixels, 7.77mm thick, weighs 175g while the nova 9 Pro sports a larger 6.72-inch with 2676x1236pixels screen resolution, 7.97mm thick, and weighs 186g.

The Huawei nova 9 and nova 9 Pro are powered by Snapdragon 778G 6nm Mobile Platform with its Kryo 670 CPUs clocking at 2.4GHz and 4x 1.8GHz coupled with Adreno 642L GPU. Both are available in 8GB RAM with 128GB and 256GB internal storage.
With such a chipset, there is no support for a 5G modem on both phones. However, other features include USB Type-C Audio, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS support. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Huawei nova 9 series pricing
The Huawei nova 9 8GB RAM with 128GB storage costs 2699 yuan ($417 / NGN171,595 Nigerian Naira approx.), while the larger 256GB storage goes for 2999 yuan ($464 / NGN190,936 Nigerian Naira approx.).
While the nova 9 Pro 128GB storage version costs 3499 yuan ($541 / NGN222,620 Nigerian Naira approx.) and the bigger 256GB storage version is priced at 3899 yuan ($603 / NGN248,134 Nigerian Naira approx.).

Huawei Freelace Lite
On the other end, Huawei also announced its Freelace Lite entry-level neckband wireless earphones. Unlike the 2019’s Freelace and last year’s Freelace Pro in-ear design, the new Lite comes with a semi-in-ear design alongside other impressive features.

Huawei Freelace Lite comes with a 120mAh battery capacity with 18 hours of playback, and up to 4-hour playback in a 5-minute charge. It is available in Mint Blue, Yellow, and Midnight Black colors. It costs 269 yuan ($41) and will be available from September 27th in China.
