HUAWEI Maimang 9 5G is official with a Dimensity 800 processor, 6.8-inch FHD+ display, 64-megapixels triple-rear camera setup, runs on Android 10, side-mounted fingerprint scanner and sports a 4300mAh battery capacity.
The Maimang 9 5G comes with a gradient 3D curved finish on the back panel, and it is the HUAWEI’s latest 5G smartphone in its Maimang series. The company introduced the phone in China.
It is also the successor to the HUAWEI Maimang 8 that was announced last year with a Kirin 710 chipset. The company has been adding good mid-range phones to its Maimang lineup, and it has been impressive.

The HUAWEI Maimang 9 is powered by the MediaTek’s Dimensity 800 7nm processor with supports for 5G two carrier aggregation (2CC CA), and also supports stand-alone and non-standalone (SA/NSA) sub-6GHz networks.
Well, these processor uses 4x 2GHz Cortex-A76 and 4x 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs. And it is available in 6GB / 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, expandable up to 256GB, and runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 out of the box.
At the front is a 6.8-inch (1080 × 2400 pixels) Full HD+ 20:9 LCD screen, which boasts of a 90.33% screen-to-body ratio. There is a punch-hole screen on the front, which carries the single 16-megapixel selfie snapper camera.
While a vertically AI-powered triple camera setup stays at the back, includes the f/1.79 64-megapixel lens, f/2.2 8-megapixel lens with 120-degree FOV, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. These cameras support EIS, super night scene mode, 4K video recording and LED Flash.
Surprisingly, the phone measures 8.9mm and it weighs 212 grams. And it comes in Black, Pink and Forest Green colors option. It packs a 4300mAh battery capacity with 22.5W fast charging via USB Type-C.
For pricing, the HUAWEI Maimang 9 5G 6GB RAM + 128GB storage costs 2,199 Yuan ($314) and 2,399 Yuan ($343) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. Order is available and will start hitting on stores from August, 7th 2020.
