Huawei just launched a cheaper variant of the expensive Matebook X Pro, this is the Huawei MagicBook laptop. In order to keep the price affordable, the company skipped few specs and features on the new laptop. There’s fingerprint reader hidden under the power button.
Recurring the Matebook X Pro laptop, it has slim bezels, wider screen view, huge RAM, powerful processing unit and Quad-speaker. One notable specs on the laptop is the placement of the Webcam, which is hidden in plain sight as a spring-loaded button between the F7 and F8 keys.
The cheaper variant, Magicbook laptop arrives with similar specs also. It can provide up to 12 hours of work time with a single charge. It is made out of aluminum and available in three colour options, Glacier Silver, Star Grey and Nebula Violet in China.
The Honor MagicBook features a 15-inch screen display with a screen-to-body ratio of 81 percent, giving you a wider display and it is thinner with 5.2 mm. The bezels around the new laptop is much more bigger than the Matebook X Pro.
Thankfully, it arrives with the current-generation Core i5-8250U and Core i7-8550U processor options and there is 8GB of RAM coupled with a 256GB SSD drive with smooth GeForce MX150 graphics. While the other model, features a Intel Core i5 processor coupled with an Nvidia MX150 2 GB graphics, 4GB RAM and 256 GB SSD.
The company made it clear, that it would take up to 12-hour with its battery life. Comes with a total of four speakers that support Dolby Atmos sound system audio, this will drastically give you amazing hits from the built-in speakers.
It runs on Windows 10. The notebook opens up to 180 degrees and comes with a full-size keyboard with some customized keys. The Core i7 variant is priced at 5,699 yuan (roughly Rs 59,800 / $908 / N320k) and the Core i5 variant is priced at 4,999 yuan (roughly Rs 52,000 / $796 / N300k).
The Matebook X Pro is priced at 1,499 euros which is $1842. Pre-orders start on 19 April with the notebook going on sale from 23 April.
