Officially announcing to you is the latest blockchain-powered Android Smartphone, it was launched by HTC. The company calls it ‘Exodus’ and comes with universal wallet and hardware support for cryptocurrencies and decentralized apps.
For now, price hasn’t been set for the phone but interested customers will be allowed to purchase the phone with cryptocurrency. The Exodus phone will have support for bitcoin, ethereum, and other major networks.
The HTC Exodus is the World’s First Native Blockchain Phone meanwhile the first block-chain powered smartphone is Finney made by Sirin Labs and it costs $1000 per unit. But here, the finney lets people store and use digital currencies while skipping transaction fees.
Blockchain smartphones offers better security and user experience by integrating “cold wallet” storage right into the device and enabling direct trading of the native cryptocurrency with peers on the phone’s network, without mining fees.
Chen said during the New York City blockchain conference, Consensus 2018, today: “We envision a phone where you hold your own keys, you own your own identity and data, and your phone is the hub.”
Despite being a block-chain Smartphone, it also comes with other normal specs such as camera, battery capacity and many others. Anyways, HTC envisions a native blockchain network that uses Exodus phones as nodes that support cryptocurrency trading between users.
