Honor X20 5G comes with Dimensity 900 and Pad V7 Pro with Kompanio 1300T chips

    During the launch of the Honor Magic 3 series, the company also announced the Honor X20 5G $293 (NGN120,686. Nigerian Naira), the Honor Pad V7 Pro with Magic Pencil 2 starting at $400 (NGN164,760 Nigerian Naira), and introduced the Honor Watch GS 3 with heart rate monitoring.

    Honor X20 5G

    The Honor X20 5G comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD screen display, offering 16.7 million colors, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and support for 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, and boasts of 94.4% screen-to-body ratio.

    Honor X20 5G arrives with a volume up/down, and power button which doubles as side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is 8.5mm thick, weighs 192g and comes with a 3.5mm audio jack. There is Dual SIM support, 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.

    The Honor X20 5G comes in Aurora Blue, Titanium Silver and Midnight Black paint job. It runs Android 11 OS out of the box with the company’s Magic UI 4.2 skin running on top.

    It features a triple camera setup inside the circular design on the rear panel, including the main 64-megapixels f/1.9 camera with EIS, and LED flash support, panorama, 2-megapixels depth and 2-megapixels 4cm macro camera with f/2.4 lens. It can shoot 4K@30fps video.

    While the Honor X20 5G punch-hole display houses a single 16-megapixels front camera with f/2.0 lens, and record 1080p video @30fps. The Honor X20 5G is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 900 6nm processor with its CPUs Cortex-A78 clocking at 2.4GHz and Cortex-A55 at 2GHz .

    Honor X20 5G is coupled with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU and it is available in 6GB and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, and it also offers the top-end version, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. It sports a 4300mAh battery with 66W super fast charging support that can charge from 0 to 15% in 15 minutes.

    The Honor X20 5G 8GB RAM / 128GB storage option is priced at 2199 yuan ($339 / NGN139,630 Nigerian Naira approx.)
    The Honor X20 5G 8GB RAM / 256GB storage version goes for 2499 yuan ($385 / NGN158,580 Nigerian Naira approx.).

    Still in the state of introduction and not – announced or unveiled, this is the Honor’s latest wearable device. The Honor Watch GS 3 is still under production and will be introduced soon, as mentioned and confirmed by the company.

    The Watch GS 3 comes with heart rate monitoring, but the company boasted that it’ll arrive with improvement in accuracy over the previous generations. And that is the only major upgrade the company is proposing.

    However, the 8-channel PPG innovative heart rate monitor module, 4-channel data processing, AI algorithm fusion will work together to provide faster and more accurate recording of heart rate signal. Nonetheless, the Watch GS 3 will definitely arrive with other specs and features.

    Alongside with the launch, Honor also announced Pad V7 Pro and it is the company’s Android tablet offering top-end features. The Pad V7 Pro is the first device to be powered by MediaTek‘s Kompanio 1300T 6nm chipset with its A78 CPUs at 2.6 GHz and A55 at 2.0 GHz.

    The MediaTek Kompanio 1300T processor rwas introduced in this year’s July, and it is more like a Dimensity 1200 for tablets offering the powerful Arm Cortex-A78 CPUs, which is definitely incredible and more efficient with 6nm processor technology and Dual 5G modem.

    The Kompanio 1300T chipset is the successor over the Kompanio 1200 (MT8195) that was announced in November last year. The basic features includes, Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, support for two 1080p displays, and supports up to 1440p resolution with 120Hz refresh rate (with dynamic refresh rate) and HDR10+ video playback.

    MediaTek Kompanio 1300T chipset

    Over to the Pad V7 Pro, it is available in 6GB / 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. It runs Android 11 OS with MagicUI 5.0. It is offered in in Gold, Blue, and Titanium Silver colors, with the Gold and Blue featuring a leather-like finish.

    There is a 13-megapixels rear camera, 2-megapixels depth sensor and a 1080p front-facing camera. It comes with fueled by a 7250mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging via USB Type-C. The connectivity includes 5G SA / NSA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Beidou, Glonass, GALILEO and multiple GNSS.

    It comes with the Magic-Pencil 2 offering 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, supports side front writing and magnetic charging. There is the Magic floating keyboard with stylus charging pen holder and charging combo.

    You can get the optional 4G LTE option and Wi-Fi version also. Whatever choice you make, it is 7.25mm thick, weighs 485g and comes with USB Type-C audio, and 4 Speakers. However, these variants will be available to order and will go on sale in China from August 19th.
