HONOR X10 5G announced with 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand adds its latest mid-range smartphone, it is the HONOR X10 5G with a 6.63-inch FHD+ no-notch LCD screen, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and powered by Kirin 820 5G SoC.

The HONOR X10 5G is the company’s first 5G smartphone in the X series. The new 5G mobile phone comes with some similar and identical features to the HONOR 30S and the P40 series.

It is worth noting that the Honor X10 comes with upgrades features like 5G support, larger notch-less display, flagship main camera, and a larger battery with fast charging tech compared to its predecessor.

HONOR X10

The new device arrives with a 6.63-inch FHD+ no-notch LCD screen, 20:9 aspect ratio display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It also boasts of 92% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to its 8.8mm thickness and notch at the top display.

The HONOR X10 comes in in Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black, Titanium Silver, and Fiery Orange colors. It spills out premium deign with its 21-layer glass finish offering a time-space diamond design.

It weighs 203 grams and equipped with a side-facing fingerprint sensor that can unlock the device in only 0.3 seconds. We were supposed to see the phones as HONOR 10X, but the company did not want people to get confused with Redmi’s upcoming 10X 5G and 10X Pro 5G.

Another major highlight is the rectangle-shaped triple camera optics, as it packs a P40 series’s 40MP Sony IMX600 RYYB 1/1.7-inch sensor for better light sensitivity and in turn low-light photography. Also seen in HONOR V30 Pro and HUAWEI Mate Xs.

While others include the 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel 4cm macro sensor. It comes with an ISP 5.0 image sensor processor, and 3D Portrait Lighting Effect, and 960fps Slow Motion Video Recording.

The smartphone also comes with AIS handheld Super Night Scene 2.0, 30-second long exposure shooting option in professional mode, and more. Along with an excellent night shooting capabilities with up to ISO 153600.

Others include fast autofocus and AI scene detection. While a 16-megapixel camera sensor for selfie snapper is housed inside the pop-up mechanism.

It comes with connectivity features like dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, 3.5mm headphone slot and supports Hybrid Dual SIM.

HONOR X10 is powered by Kirin 820 5G SoC with SA / NSA dual-mode 5, which supports 9 5G bands such as n41, n78, n79, n1, n77, n38, n80, and n84. It can reach download speeds of up to 1003Mbps on 5G and equip with Huawei’s Super Uplink (SUL) 5G technology that increases the uplink rate as well as a cell edge network by 412 percent.

And comes with an ARM Mali-G57MP6 GPU, 1 x NPU that controls the graphic of the phone. It also packs graphene cooling sheet, GPU Turbo, and Kirin Gaming+ 2.0, which uses AI frequency modulation to achieve a balance between gaming performance and power consumption.

You can find the phone in three variants, there is the 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB, all expandable up to 256GB using Huawei’s NM card. The X10 5G smartphone boots to Android 10 OS customized with the latest Magic UI 3.1 skin.

The phone draws power from a 4300mAh battery that carries 22.5W fast charging support. which is quite bigger than the predecessor HONOR 9X with a 4000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

The phones will be available for order today and will go on sale in China from May 26th. Where the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage goes for 1,899 Yuan ($267), 6GB RAM + 128GB storage for 2,199 Yuan ($309) and 2,399 Yuan ($337) for the top-notch 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variants.
