HONOR Play 6T and HONOR Play 6T Pro were officially unveiled as the direct successors to the previous generation – Play 5 and HONOR Play 5T – These new phones bring upgraded specifications and features.
The Honor Play 6T and Honor Play 6T Pro are 5G handsets and are both powered by MediaTek Dimensity processors. Both displays are slightly different but come with an LCD screen, and support a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling.
Both arrive with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and 3.5mm earphone jack, and their chipset brings support for 5G SA/NSA, and other connectivity such as Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, and AGPS for positioning.
The Honor Play 6T comes with a 6.74” HD+ 720 pixels TFT LCD screen, available in Black, Blue, and Silver colors and the Pro brings a 6.7″ Full HD+ 1080 pixels, available in Silver, Black, and Pink colors alongside a 90Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 16.7 million colors.
Honor Play 6T is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC with 2x Cortex-A76 2.2GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 2.0GHz CPUs. While the Play 6T Pro is driven by Dimensity 810 5G SoC but with 2x A76 clocking at 2.4GHz and 6x A55 2.0GHz coupled with Mali-G57 GPU.
Both come with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB internal storage and run Magic UI 5.0 based on Android 11 OS out of the box. The Play 6T is fueled by a 5000mAh battery with 22.5W HONOR SuperCharge technology, and the Pro packs a 4000mAh battery with 40W tech.
The Honor Play 6T comes with a 13-megapixels f/1.8 lens, dual 2-megapixels as depth, a macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and a front-facing 5-megapixels f/2.2 sensor, both front and back camera can shoot upto 1080p video recording. It is 8.62mm slim and weighs 198g.
While the Play 6T Pro features a 48-megapixels f/1.8 lens and 2-megapixels depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and an 8-megapixels selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture, and supports upto 1080p video recording. It comes with 8.62mm thickness and weighs 198g.
The HONOR Play 6T 8GB RAM / 128GB storage is priced at 1,199 yuan ($188) and the 256GB storage variant goes for 1,399 yuan ($219). While the Play 6T Pro starts at 1,399 yuan ($219 approx.) for the 128GB variant and the 256GB variant costs 1,599 yuan ($251 approx.).
