Honor Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro announced with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset

Powered by the latest Qualcomm chipset, the HONOR Magic 4 series unveiled with reputable specifications – Honor Magic 4 and Honor Magic 4 Pro. The company confirmed that the HONOR Magic 4 Series will be available starting from Q2, 2022.

The Honor Magic 4 comes in a single variant – 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and the company is offering the device for 1099 Euros ($1,230), and the Honor Magic 4 Pro is going for 899 Euros ($1,007) for the same single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model.

Honor’s latest series, the Magic 4 lineup brings premium features, the top-tier flagship series consist of both Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro. Where the Pro option is the top-end variant here with a quality camera, faster processor, and many more.

On the paper, the Magic 4 series comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust Resistant, Dual Stereo Speakers with DTS:X Ultrasound effects, 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and NFC.

Both are built around Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4nm Mobile Platform with Adreno next-gen GPU, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage and runs Magic UI 6.0 based on Android 12 OS out of the box.

Noticeably is the circular frame around the back panel of the Magic 4 series, which acts as the mansion for the camera placement. The Magic 4 Pro’s camera starts with the primary f/1.8 50-megapixels lens, it’s a Sony IMX766 sensor.

There’s another 50-megapixels f/2.2 ultrawide shooter, and an f/3.5 64-megapixels telephoto lens with OIS, 3.5x Optical Zoom, up to 100x Digital Zoom, and these cameras are all powered by HONOR’s proprietary Ultra Fusion Photography engine.

While the dual-hole punch on the top display houses a 12-megapixels sensor and 3D Depth Camera which supports 3D face unlock; Both front and back cameras arrive with support for 4K (3840×2160) video recording.

Well, thanks to the MEMC technology, the HONOR Magic 4 Pro brings automatic and real-time conversion from SDR to HDR, as well as an enhanced frame rate with motion compensation, for a more immersive and accurate viewing experience.

On the front is a curved 6.81″ Quad LTPO display panel with 1920Hz PWM dimming capabilities, a 19.54:9 Aspect Ratio. It is HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced Certified and comes with support for an adaptive 120Hz, which can go from 1-120Hz in no time depending on what’s displaying on the screen.

The HONOR Magic 4 Pro comes in Cyan, Gold, and Black colors. There’s a Glass and Leather option that is 9.10mm/9.15mm thick respectively and weighs 215g/209g respectively. It packs a 4600mAh battery with 100W wired and wireless Honor SuperCharge Support.

This is the Magic 4 with the same 6.81″ LTPO Dual-Curved 19.54:9 aspect ratio, it is HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced Certified. However, it uses FHD+ (1224 x 2664 pixels) resolution and settles for an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

It comes with the same camera houses. a primary f/1.8 50-megapixels Sony IMX766 sensor wide-angle camera, 50-megapixels f/2.2 ultra-wide-camera, and f/3.4 8-megapixels 50x periscope telephoto camera with OIS stabilization.

Instead of the dual-front camera on the Pro, the Magic 4 arrives with a single 12-megapixels selfie snapper. And both front and back camera sensors come with support for 4K video recording. It is 8.8mm thick, weighs 199g, and packs a 4800mAh battery with 66W wired HONOR SuperCharge Support.
