HONOR, the smartphone sub-brand under the HUAWEI Consumer Business Group, has officially launched its new smartphone, it is the HONOR 30 Lite in its home market, China with the 5G MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor.
Alongside, the Smartphone company also announced the 7.09″ Honor X10 Max device with 5G and it is also powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset. These phones come with neat tech specs, that are slightly identical.
Nevertheless, if you are into the Smartphone markets, searching for affordable 5G mobile phones, then be prepared to be overwhelmed by these overcrowed phones.

Unlike the HONOR X10 Max, the 30 Lite packs a triple rear camera setup in a black-plated rectangular shape, the main 48-megapixels 1/2” sensor, f/1.8, Super Night Mode, can record 4K video with EIS, 8-megapixels ultrawide snapper, and the 2-megapixels depth sensor.
On the front is of the HONOR 30 Lite is a tall 6.5” LCD with 1080p+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate for smooth animation and instantaneous reactions. It comes with a teardrop notch that houses the single 16-megapixels selfie camera.
The phone is purely powered by a 2GHz MediaTek Dimensity 800 7nm chipset, with four Cortex-A76 and four A55 cores, after all, the U.S. government has blocked many chips makers from supplying chips to Huawei, henceforth, they have turned to MediaTek Dimensity chipsets for some new devices.
For intense graphic control during the gaming session, the phone packs a Mali-G57 MC4 GPU, 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage, and 8GB RAM / 128GB. However, you can easily expand the storage up to 256GB via Huawei’s proprietary NM card.
Unlikely for some, the phone lacks Google services, after all, most of the Chinese citizens are not attached to this norm. The phone runs Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1 out of the box.
It packs a side-mounted fingerprint sensor scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and two SIM slots, and a 4000mAh battery, which can be charged at 22.5W through the USB-C port, around 53% charge in 30 minutes.
The Honor 30 Lite is also coming to the Chinese Mainland market starting July 8th. Where the 6GB RAM and 64GB model costs CNY 1,700 ($240), 6GB RAM / 128GB go for CNY 1,900 ($270) and CNY 2,200 ($310) for the top-notch 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage version.
