More information concerning the JAMB mock result was disclosed in an interview by JAMB’s Head, Media and Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
“We have just released the results of the mock examination taken on Mon., April 1, nationwide.
“Candidates should only use the outcome of the results to prepare harder for the main UTME, scheduled to commence on April 11.
“They should also note that the results are not for the purpose of admission or matriculation consideration,” he said.
JAMB Mock Exam was unhealthy and pernicious!
Registrar of JAMB, Ishaq Oloyede who monitored the mock examination in Abuja said the motive was to test run all the Computer Based Test (CBT) centres accredited for the examination.
According to source, ICIR, mentioned that the Board in January suspended nine CBT centres for extorting money from candidates for registration for the examination.
Oloyede also disclosed that two officials of JAMB escaped death in Lagos Monday morning after what he described as ‘a brutal attack’ while monitoring the mock UTME.
He said the two affected Board officials came under the deadly attack for insisting that the right must be done at a particular CBT centre around Lagos State Polytechnic.
“Two our staff were almost murdered in Lagos, there was an attempt on their lives at LASPOLY, somewhere before Lagos State Polytechnic,” the JAMB Registrar said.
“For whatever reasons, they were wetted with petrol to be set ablaze. We have sent a rescue team to take them to the hospital, but we are still looking into what happened in the place, but we have evacuated our staff from there.”
“We hope whoever had attempted that, we believe the law enforcement agencies will not allow for such assault on innocent government officials going about their normal business.”
Anyways, the JAMB examination date has been scheduled to commence on Thursday, 11th of April, 2020. And about 1.8 million candidates has already register for the 2020 UTME.
