In 2 years to come, we might be looking at few curved iPhones screen with touchless gesture controls as Apple is reportedly working on a new technology project on their upcoming iPhone lineups.
Well, the curved screen technology isn’t a new innovation but it would be the first for Apple’s iPhone lineup. Apple’s curved iPhone flat display would “curve inward gradually from top to bottom.” which is different from Samsung’s curved-edges.
Samsung mobile along with other OLED companies, LG etc has been in the business of curved screen for so many years. But the curved screen would be able to differentiate Apple’s premium iPhones from others. The curved display would be implemented, be it OLED display, organic light emitting diode.
Apple are always late to increasing ideas, format, features and specs, that has already been experimented but one thing is sure and that is, they always capitalize on the new idea and make it more smarter, acceptable and more personalized to their brand name. iPhone X comes with OLED display, Face ID that has been on other Smartphones for years.
Bloomberg also reported that the control feature would let iPhone users perform some tasks by moving their finger close to the screen without actually tapping it, and would take into account the proximity of a finger to the screen. This would pretty work like the new latest Apple’s 3D Touch feature that is already on their new iPhones.
The work comes as the Cupertino, California-based smartphone pioneer looks to make its gadgets stand out. Basically, most premium android smartphones comes with FullView screens, crystal clear cameras with increasing aperture, facial technology and seriously, they are becoming more indistinguishable and identical to each other.
