Finally, let’s make welcome to the latest release from Apple inc, after so many months. Apple launched the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus and it is something to write home about.
Yesterday, Apple hold an event on 12th of September, where CEO Apple Tim Cook teased with a lot of comment, one of which, he said;
“Over the past decade, we’ve pushed forward with innovation after innovation, bringing us to this moment, when we can create devices that are far more intelligent, far more capable, and far more creative than ever before.”
Lets get to know the iPhone 8. Virtually, all the rumors surrounding the phone are basically NOT TRUE, the Face ID Recognition, edge-edge screen, a small panel for the Selfie area at the top of the edge screen and many others! All this credit goes to iPhone X!
They both features an all Glass build, of course, the iPhone 8 is usually smaller in screen size while the iPhone 8 Plus is more bigger and then, we also have the Water and Dust Resistance.

Design and Display
With the all Glass Build, the Apple iPhone 8 comes with an epitome of design with an Augmented show off for thee new generation iPhone, it is very surprising to have the iPhone 8 in 2017, after so much hype.

Meanwhile, on the front facing camera, you have the FaceTime HD to yourself with the selfie 7MP front facing camera with Retina Flash, wide color capture, advanced pixel technology, and auto image stabilization.
It is not cool not having Dual Camera for iPhone 8 as it can’t do Portrait Mode camera effects at all. So looking for Dual Camera, the iPhone 8 Plus is there.
While for the Connectivity, the iPhone 8 comes with LTE, GSM, NFC with reader mode, Bluetooth 5.0 wireless technology.
Performance and Memory
Apple just unveiled one of the best Chip processor so far and it is cool. On the iPhone 8 hood, we have the A11 Bionic, “the most powerful and smartest chip ever in a smartphone,” Apple says.
The A11 Bionic, arrives with four efficiency cores that are up to 70 percent faster than A10 Fusion. And two performance cores that are up to 25 percent faster.
The new Apple‑designed three‑core GPU is up to 30 percent faster than A10 Fusion. A11 Bionic powers extraordinary augmented reality apps and games that will change the way you see the world.
iOS 11: Oh yes, we also have the iOS 11 on deck! iOS 11 includes hundreds of new features like a redesigned control centre, better multitasking, improvements to the camera, peer-to-peer Apple Pay and new safety features.
On the memory aspect, we have the 64GB and the 256GB variants, for the iPhone 8!
Battery and Security
iPhone 8 arrives with a Built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery and also features a Fast-charge capable, Up to 50% charge 30 minutes. On the front screen, you have the Physical Home button that also serves as the Touch ID Fingerprint Sensor.
And of course, it features Wireless Charging on board, it is the first iPhone to arrive with such specifications.
With the Wireless Charging Technology, you can place the phone on a power pad, automatically, start charging. It is the first time the technology has come to the iPhone range.
“This is a simple thing. We do it everyday. We use them every day and charge every night,” said Schiller. “Words can’t describe how much nicer it is to never plug in a cable again.”
Price and Availability
The iPhone 8 will cost £699 for the 64GB version, while the iPhone 8 Plus will start from £799 (64GB). 256GB versions will also be available.
The iPhone 8 will go on sale on September 22. You will be able to pre-order the new device from 15 September. iOS 11 will be available to download from 19 September.
In USD Dollar, the iPhone 8 will be priced at $930 Nigeria currency, that’s almost N340K and when shipped to Nigeria, the price may tend to increase due to shipping fee and others fees.

Just Stay in touch! But the news here is that Apple are going to Launch the long awaited Apple iPhone 8 at the September 12 Event.
The wait is over! That same day, they might launch three device at a time and they may likely be the fancy, nearly bezel-less iPhone 8 we’ve heard so much about, while the other two are likely to be the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus, with less radical design changes.
And well, right now, Apple is planning on launching 10th-anniversary iPhone, according to rumors, it might end up being the iPhone 8 or the iPhone X.
Even the name is still unknown. It’s possible the device will be called the iPhone X, the iPhone 8, or even the iPhone Decade Edition
Rumors of Apple iPhone 8
Rumors has it that Touch ID could be eliminated entirely in favor of robust facial recognition technology, which Apple is confirmed to be working on. There will be no physical Home button on the iPhone 8 and no bezels aside from a small area for the front-facing camera.
Apple is said to be planning to position the OLED iPhone 8 as a ~5-inch with an edge-to-edge design “premium” model that will be sold alongside standard 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhone models with traditional LCD screens.
Who would ever imagine the iPhone 8 as the iPhone X, these are just rumors!
