HMD Global has officially announced that their next Android Phone of 2018 would be launched on the 25th of February, this is ahead of MWC 2018.
The company has sent invites for the launch event that will be held in Barcelona, which is also the host city for the mobile trade show. The invitation follows a teaser by HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas on Thursday, when he said HMD Global had something major planned for MWC 2018.
We all could remember the wonderful year for Nokia after the launch of the Nokia 3310 at the MWC 2017. And this year, its seems they are planning something new for their users.
Rumors has it that, Nokia might launch the Nokia 9 flagship including the anticipated Android Oreo (Go edition) based Nokia 1 smartphone. Another rumored launch is the Nokia E71 (2018) 4G feature phone.
The upcoming Nokia 1 is rumored to arrived with HD (720p) IPS display, 1GB of RAM and just 8GB of storage. Added to the design, we might see metal frame or polycarbonate body design.
Nokia recently launched the Nokia 6 (2018) with 16:9 screen ratio in China but during the MWC 2018, we might be expect the global launch of the phone.
Nokia’s invitation reads as “Welcome Home” and “Join us at the Home of Nokia Phones” and asks for a registration for a “house key”.
The MWC 2018 is scheduled to take place from February 26 to March 1, with announcements beginning as early as February 25. The Nokia 1 is tipped to run Android Go, which is a version of Oreo designed for entry-level phones and first-time Android users.
