Mtn Nigeria are really waking and their are coming back with force. Maybe, it is back to back. After losing so much customers, after increasing their data bundle plan fees, after doing extra-nonsense things, Mtn Nigeria are really coming back.
Today, Mtn Nigeria are planning to launched 4G LTE Network in July, 2016. Maybe, Ntel Nigeria has made the 4G LTE network in Nigeria a wanted network. Hence, all the network including Airtel, Glo, Etisalat are expected to comply.
MTN Nigeria is set to roll out its Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution (4G LTE) broadband services latest by July 2016 in selected cities, using the 800MHz frequency acquired from Visafone Ltd earlier this year.
MTN plans to have about 1,500 LTE collocated sites backhauled with fibre optics this year. 4G LTE Network is best used with 4G LTE Android Smartphones.
The chief executive officer, MTN, Mr Fedinand Moolman, confirmed, during MTN Group Ltd’s first quarter results analyst conference with investment firms recently held in Johannesburg, South Africa, that the main reason MTN acquired Visafone was to get access to the frequency which would allow it roll out LTE. He said that MTN has started the process to migrate all the Visafone subscribers onto its network so that they can clean up the frequency and start rolling out LTE.
This is an interesting News, Ntel should speed up their 4G LTE Sim card and all the processes involved because if MTN dares launched this 4G LTE in Nigeria, probably, Nobody may hear about NTEL again.
Meanwhile, All other network in Nigeria are required to stand up, sit up and face the challenges of launching their own 4G LTE network, because sooner or later, Nobody may talk about 2G or 3G Network!
