Education News: Three Students Killed as Robbers attack banks in OOUIt was a sad day when we recieve this news about Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, when robbers attacked Five banks,
First City Monument Bank
Intercontinental Bank
Skye Bank
Oceanic Bank
Guaranty Trust Bank
all this banks are located in the institution.
The robbers made away with undisclosed amount of money and leaving Three students dead due to injuries sustained from stray bullets.
The institution’s Public Relations Officer Mr Sam Oyeleye, confirmed the deaths after a report by the hospitals that TWO of the students died directly from the bullet wounds while the one die from shock from being shot.
Information reaching our Desk has it that the operation was carried out by cultists who are also students, they were obviously preparing for the coming festive period.
From our sources, eye witness reports has it that the armed bandits number more than 20 persons.
They Armed Robbers attacked the banks with sporadic fire and explosives and were not even challenged by any security personnel, leaving a rather ugly scene. I wonder what is the duty of the Security men, which are supposed to be trained men undercover.
We hope that the government should provide absolute security in our institutions.
May the souls of the THREE dead students rest in peace. Amen. OAU Clearance to End on 15th nov 2011
